ACES Chief Investigators named on 2021 Clarivate Highly Cited researchers list

ACES Chief Investigators Prof Jun Chen and Prof Douglas MacFarlane have been recognised as 2021 Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers.

The list identifies scientists for their significant contributions to global research, demonstrated through publications and multiple highly cited papers over the previous decade that rank in the top one per cent for their field.

Earlier this year, Prof Chen based at our University of Wollongong (UOW) node, was named 2021 UOW Vice-Chancellor’s Researcher of the Year for his work in areas including 3D printing, biomaterials, conducting polymers, electrochemistry and renewable and sustainable energy. Prof Chen also made the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers list in 2019.

Prof MacFarlane is the Energy Program Leader within ACES and is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering. He is based at our Monash University node.
