Former Intelligent Polymer Research Institute PhD student and now Editor of Wiley, Dr Bo Weng, returned to visit ACES this week.

Dr Weng received her Bachelor degree in Material Science and Engineering at Beihang University in 2006 and then moved on to post graduate study in 2008 at the University of Wollongong, with ACES Director Professor Gordon Wallace as her supervisor.

After completing her thesis, ‘Inkjet Printing of conducting polymers’, in 2012, Dr Weng left UOW and ACES in 2013 to work as Associate Professor at Southwest University for three years before joining Wiley in Beijing as Editor of Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Macromolecular Journals and Journal of Applied Polymer Science.

While visiting Australia, Dr Weng attended the 11th Asian-Australasian Conference on Composite Materials in Cairns as a keynote speaker. Dr Weng is also planning on visiting other ACES nodes before heading back to Beijing.
