The Intelligent Polymer Research Institute, at the Australian Institute for Innovative Materials, is recognised as a global leader in the development of “intelligent” materials. It is the lead node of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science which brings together a network of researchers from six Australian nodes and five international partner organisations to develop innovative solutions based on advanced next-generation electromaterials.
The position will lead a research program investigating the interactions of living cells and bioactive molecules with materials in two and three dimensions. The role will also require the provision of guidance and leadership in academic governance and management activities and contribute to appropriate teaching programs, in particular the Masters of BIOFABrication.
Candidates should have an outstanding contribution to research and a capacity to develop and co-ordinate postgraduate courses and training. Applicants must address the selection criteria in the position description.
