Dr Shannon Little
Now working: Intel, Ireland
PhD Thesis: Improving the performance metrics of enzymatic biofuel cells
During his time with ACES, Shannon took advantage of the many connections the organisation has with research and industry worldwide.
“Being part of a larger group such as ACES allowed for a lot of interesting collaborations which made research exciting and challenging,” said Shannon.
In the short time since he graduated from ACES, Shannon has fit in substantial travel around Europe and completed a one year post-doctoral position in France.
In 2012, Shannon secured a position as a Graduate Process Engineer at Intel in Dublin, Ireland.
He remains inspired by his field, “I’m still amazed that we can create something (ie computer chips) that are so small, complex and intricate and do it in such a reproducible way.”
